Cauliflower in cooked Dal.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 bunch of cauliflower- cut to small
- 1 cup of cooked dal
- some curry leaves
- 1 tsp black mustard seeds
- 1 tsp udal gram
- salt
- a pinch of asafoetida
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 small onion - chopped
How to make Cauliflower in cooked dal :
- Heat oil in a deep pan. Put mustard and udal gram seeds into it. Make them crackle.
- Then, add curry leaves and onions till light brown.
- Later, add the cooked dal , turmeric , coriander and chilli powder, salt, asafoetida, cauliflower and the water.
- Steer once or twice. Make them even and cover for 10 - 15 minutes till the cauliflower cook.
- The dish will look thick a bit.
- Done. ready to served with apom, chapathi, itly or even plain rice.
